The Stains - John Wayne was a Nazi (pre MDC)

Formed in 1979 as The Stains and playing their first gig under this name in April 1980, MDC were one of three pioneering hardcore punk bands in Austin Texas, in the early '80s, alongside The Dicks and Big Boys. These bands frequently played together and established the Austin hardcore scene. They released one single as the Stains in 1981, featuring a slower version of the future MDC song "John Wayne Was a Nazi" backed with "Born to Die". Both songs were later released on the debut MDC album.

The Bristles Ban the punk shops demo 1983

The Bristles were an early 80’s hardcore punk band from Landskrona, Sweden. Their name was taken from GBH´s “Leather, Bristles, Studs and Acne”. Singer Wiking was kicked due to different view on things (some say he had strong rightwing tendencies and a real communist hate) and Puma, who had earlier played in Black Uniforms, took the mic. Played about 75 gigs during the three years they existed.
Had a reunion in 1986 and changed name to Bristles D.C and recorded an EP, but the spirits where gone and the band died.

F: Fek se oformio 07 na leto,ideja je bila jednostavna hteli smo da sviramo,dogovor je brzo pao,neki članovi su već bili aktivni u nekim drugim bendovima a probe je bilo logično da imamo kod Peđe u šupi.

HC: Da li ste odmah znali kakav zvuk želite ili se on vremenom formirao pod uticajem clanova?
F: Hteli smo da sviramo nešto kao crust punk ali smo vremenom svatili da je suvišno da se držimo nekog izlizanog kalupa,svaka nova stvar varira od punka do grinda pa možda nekad I malo pover violence.Lepo je to što našu muziku nekad ljudi upoređuju sa nekim zvukom ili bendom, to nam se uvek sviđa ali nam nije važno da zadovojlimo tuđe zahteve nego da sviramo muziku koja nas pokreće. . .

CRASS - Radio Sheffield 11.May.1982

CRASS on Radio Sheffield in 1982, but more than just an interview, this is CRASS hanging around the studio for an evening and talking about the formation and the history of their band and the scene which they were instrumental in creating. Just listen three minutes into the second track...listen to these folks talk about the spirit of DIY punk and the shit is more than a little inspiring: "you've got something, you've got the potential....if it's worth doing, it's worth doing properly." Beyond that, there are loads of historical factoids contained here that I found fascinating (who knew that the Do They Owe Us A Living EP was funded by the death of Steve Ignorant's grandmother?), as well as CRASS discussing the political ideals that drove their band's very existence. Granted, this is a long fucking tape, clocking in at a full 90 minutes, but it's well worth your Sunday, and it's great hearing these dudes putting on tunes from POISON GIRLS, MARK STEWART, THE REJECTED, KRONSTADT UPRISING, CHARLES MINGUS, and a few CRASS songs as well. This is a brilliant document of a hugely influential band.

NYX NEGATIV

Karlshamn, Sweden (1981 – 1986)

Nux Negativ was formed in may 1981 in Karlshamn, Sweden and split up in 1986. Different members came and went, but the structure was always the same, one guitar, bass, drums and vocals! The music style developed from something like poppunk a´la Ebba Grön to a typical rawpunk-style! The band have been represented on various compilation-albums and tapes + one single at the end of the epoch.
The guitarist Maffe went on to form Brigad 45 B, bass player Niclas “Skökan” later played in Set Back and Dampungarna.

Radegast Czech Havirov Hc punk .RADEGAST is probably the most powerful hardcore band, who played in Czechoslovakia in the 80's. Acrose in 1982 under the influence of bands like Minor Threat, Youth Brigade, Battalion Of Saints. The composition of Milan Jonšta on guitar and vocals, Jaroslav Sonek on drums and Miroslav Stanek on bass, they began to play the first concert.The first demo recorded in 1986, which released the bass in your publication Rytmicka Mladeze.
